The Ferrari Superamerica combines stunning Ferrari performance with a highly original, innovative take on the ever-versatile convertible. Styled by Pininfarina, the Superamerica retains the beautifully balanced proportions of the 575M Maranello, cleverly integrating the unique rotating Revocromico™ roof which makes the Superamerica the world's fastest convertible berlinetta with a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). A first in the automotive industry, the roof features electrochromic glass technology and the tint of the glass can be modified using a 5-position switch located on the central tunnel. The Superamerica is fitted with the latest development of Ferrari's sophisticated V12 producing 532 bhp at 7,250 rpm (24 bhp more than the 575M Maranello). This extra power was achieved by the use of new higher flow intake tracts, and an improved flow coefficient thanks to the optimisation of the fluid-dynamic characteristics of the cylinder head inlet ducts and intake manifold. Similarly, the new exhaust system design reduces back-pressure. The Superamerica can be ordered with the optional F1-style gearbox which features latest generation electronics for faster change times in the manual Sport mode (down to 180 ms), and smoother shifts in the automatic F1 A mode. Exclusivity is assured, as just a limited number of Superamericas will be produced, just like the coachbuilt cars from the 1950s and '60s it's named after.
