Saeco Talea Touch Plus , Saeco's automatic espresso coffee-making machine for home use, with the Saeco Milk Island, a special accessory able to transform milk into a soft froth, has won the prestigious 'red dot' award for design excellence. The 'Red dot design award' is one of the most noted international awards in the design sector, and has been supported since 1955 by the Essen Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen (Germany) and yearly assigned to products that stand out for innovative design. An international jury of top experts in the sector has this year evaluated 2,458 products from 43 countries.
The initiative concludes with an official ceremony for the consignment of the awards, to take place in Essen on 25th June 2007, and the inauguration of a large exhibition of the winning products. Talea with Milk Island will thus have a place in the 'Red dot design museum', the largest exhibition of contemporary design in the world.
